Everyone should bring a towel and a change of clothing as you will probably get wet on the water. We're not sure what the weather will be like but would advise waterproofs or other suitable clothing and footwear. Lunch will be provided but if you want a snack you'll have to provide it as there is no Tuck Shop.
Getting there: The site is reached from Callander town
centre by taking the A81 Glasgow road then, at a mini-roundabout, bearing right
on a minor road signposted Invertrossachs. The road beyond the junction at
Gartchonzie Bridge is a single track ‘No Through Road’, and is public as far as
the estate lodge gates. There is a barrier here which is padlocked. The code to
open this is 1900. Please ensure it is locked again behind you after
passing through. If it is open, please drive through but stop and lock it after
you.
Proceed
along the private road carefully for approximately 2 km. This
section of road is normally very busy with walkers and cyclists, so please
observe the 20 m.p.h. speed limit.
The exact
location is pinpointed here on google maps. The PostCode FK17 8HG for SatNav
identifies the cottages of the tiny village of Invertrossachs which is another
2km along the loch-side road.

Firstly, can I record my appreciation to everyone who was at yesterday's rehearsal. They all worked their socks off and made a big difference to the numbers we were rehearsing.
With 5 weeks to go before we are in the theatre everyone needs to learn their words and watch the videos. Please look at where you are in each number and where you move to. Music for The Opening should be sent out later this week.
By Sunday we need to have your Activity Day permission form so that we have final numbers and so ensure we have sufficient instructors for each activity.
Also by Sunday we need to know if you can help with the Bucket Collection at Morrison's on Saturday 2 September. You could email Scott Park or let us know on Sunday. We need a good turnout at each of the time slots. Uniform and your red necker to be worn.

Sun 26 March
Casting Auditions for singing and speaking parts will be woven around singing practice for Uprising. This singing rehearsal lasts from 2pm - 4pm and is for everyone unless you are choosing not to be in this number(see below).
Casting starts at 1.30pm and continues at 4pm with an expected finish of 6pm although it is possible that individuals may finish earlier.
Please remember that there are not enough parts for everyone but give a good audition by speaking up or singing loudly and in tune. If you are not fortunate enough to gain a part remember this does not mean that you weren't good or that you failed. It simply means that on Audition day someone else may have been a smidgeon better.
Our singing Tutor will choose the songs you sing and the drama person will choose the part you read.
To gain a part you must also have handed in your completed Membership form and Wardrobe form together with at least the first part (£25) of your Membership fee.
Senior school members and leaders should have told Scott before Sunday if they choose to miss some numbers.
Don't forget that the clock changes on Sunday !!
Tuesday, 14 March 2023
Sunday 19 March
With such a big Gang it will take a lot of time to take everyone's details at the start. We will therefore open Viewfield Church Hall for registration from 1.30pm. Please come early
Although we are very happy to take the payment of your Membership Fee by bank card can I encourage you to consider paying by cash or cheque (payable to Stirling Scout & Guide Gang Show) as this will help to keep things moving. We only have one card machine.
Tuesday, 7 March 2023
1st Rehearsal
The first rehearsal is in Viewfield Church Hall in Irvine Place (Opposite the Fountain/Sheriff Court) on Sunday 19 March. It is from 2pm to 4pm. We want to encourage parents to come along for the afternoon to hear a little of what we'll be doing and how you can help. Perhaps you'll join in during the session. Bring your siblings as all are welcome. There will be tea, coffee and juice available
There will also be information about the Casting session which is being held on 26 March. Members must attend this if they want a speaking or singing part. There is no guarantee of a part as we are usually overwhelmed with hopefuls. Our Tuck Shop will be open on the 26th.

Experience Days
2 pm - 3.30 pm on Sundays 5 & 12 March in Queen Street Scout Hall, Stirling. Please come along to one of these to find out what Gang Show is all about. No one is a star because no Gang Show would manage without each and everyone who chooses to be a member.
You must be aged at least 9 years and 6 months on 23 September 2023 to join and be a member of the Guide or Scout Movements.
You do not have to join the Gang but why not come along and try the Gang Show Experience?
Friday, 3 February 2023
Don't Forget !!
If you were a member of the 2022 Stirling Gang, don't forget to let Scott know whether or not you will be returning for 2023. We are getting a lot of interest at our great recruiting sessions so, if you don't respond and just come along to the first rehearsal there may not be room for you.
Isn't it in line with the Scout or Guide Promise and Law to take a moment to reply?

2023 Stirling Gang Show
Within the next 10 days invitations will be sent out to the 2022 Gang inviting them to rejoin. It is important that you let Scott Park know if you are returning as this can affect the number of new members invited from the Experience Days.
Please be aware that if we have a large number of potential new members from the Experience Days you may not be able to return if you haven't advised Scott by the requested date of 11 March.
The first rehearsal is on Sunday 19 March in Viewfield Church Hall from 1.45pm.
This year we have changed the age ranges :
Main Gang - You should be aged at least 9 years 6 months by 23 September 2023
Junior Gang - You should be aged at least 7 years by 23 September 2923
There is some flexibility for Cubs and Brownies. If they are under 10 by 23 September they can, if they wish, choose to be in the Junior Gang rather than the main Gang.
Experience Days
Main Gang - come along to Queen Street Scout Hall on either Sunday 5th or Sunday 12th March, from 2 - 3.30pm. You do not need to wear uniform
Junior Gang - come along to Queen Street Scout Hall on Saturday 13th May from 4 - 5.30pm. You do not need to wear uniform.
We will teach you part of a song so you do not need to prepare anything. We aim to give you a little bit of experience of what it is like being in a Gang Show. You do not have to join if you decide it's not for you. Do come along and give it a go. It's an exciting opportunity.
