Sunday 19th September
Our first rehearsal is less than a week away and we're looking forward to welcoming all our members - old and new. We still have some space so bring a friend along with you
We'll be in the Guide Hut in Glebe Avenue from 1.45pm. Please follow the one way system and wear a mask if you are 12 or over.
First on the programme is a briefing followed by a look at the 2022 programme. Then we'll be learning the first songs. They are for a number called "Moonstone".
There is no Tuck Shop this year so we advise that you bring your own refreshments - at least a bottle of water.
At 4.30pm we have a Parents' Meeting which we hope the Gang will also stay for. We'll be talking about what we've been doing since our last Show in 2019 and about our plans for this Show. We'll also be happy to answer any questions that parents may have.

LAST CHANCE & 1st Rehearsal
If you were in the Show in 2019 and have not yet told Scott whether or not you are returning, please do so now.
It is amazing how many members think that if they're not returning they don't have to say. Then there are those that are returning and think they only have to turn up on the 19th with no advance notice. If you think about these two contradictory points you will see how essential it is that you let Scott know what you are doing.
Why do I need to ? Well for a start, it is even more important that we have attendance registers this time around - indeed Trace & Protect rules mean we must register all attenders. We like the names entered on the register in alphabetical order as this saves precious seconds when signing in each week. Those few seconds mount up over the numbers in the Gang and can become 5 extra minutes each week. They also cause queues and we want to keep them to a minimum.
Our first rehearsal is fast approaching. We'll start with handing out the scripts followed by a briefing session of how we will function over the coming months. Inevitably there will be some new ways of working because of the limitations imposed on us by Covid. Then we'll have a go at learning words and music for Moonstone which is item 12 in the programme. After this we will finish with a Parents' Meeting from 4.30pm. I hope your parent(s) will come along and you are welcome to stay as well.
Please follow the one way system when you arrive at the Guide Hut (Glebe Avenue, FK8 2HZ). You will enter by the fire escape and exit through the main door. The building will have been sanitised with a hazer before you arrive.
