Good rehearsal yesterday with a very impressive result. Well done everyone, that's five of the 7 production number completed !
Now have a rest over the next few weeks but don't forget to look at the videos when you have a moment and practice singing the songs. The next Blog will be in the new year.
The costume fitting day is on Saturday January 15th in the Scout Hall at the top of Queen Street.
If you cannot manage the time given to
you, please swap with someone else, and let me know.
You will need to bring all the costumes you have been asked to provide so these
can be checked by the wardrobe team. You will also need to try on everything
that is issued to you from the store. This will take between 60 - 90
minutes.
A Merry Christmas from the production team to everyone. May your stocking be well filled

Week commencing 6 December
COVID Precautions
- These are for the production numbers only. I will hand out specific details about small numbers to individual cast members.
- There is one page for males and one for females
- All at Sea - matelot /. sailors' hats will be provided
- I got Rhythm - now confirmed with Anna and the correct info is on the attached sheets. It is still a black and white theme so everyone wears either black on their lower half and white on their top half or vice versa. There has to be ONE splash of a NEON colour (yellow / orange / pink / green) for each person. If you already have something you think may be suitable please bring it to the rehearsal next Sunday. ..... beanie / head band / bracelets / braces / socks / tights. Then Anna can see if it will work. DO NOT buy anything special right now until this has been finalised.
- SATURDAY January 15th is the costume fitting day starting at 9.30. All cast members have this date in their schedule and I will issue a timetable and more information next week so you know when you are required to be at the Scout Hall. It is likely to take up to two hours for each group of people.
- Any questions please ask Rosemary

Sunday 19th September
Our first rehearsal is less than a week away and we're looking forward to welcoming all our members - old and new. We still have some space so bring a friend along with you
We'll be in the Guide Hut in Glebe Avenue from 1.45pm. Please follow the one way system and wear a mask if you are 12 or over.
First on the programme is a briefing followed by a look at the 2022 programme. Then we'll be learning the first songs. They are for a number called "Moonstone".
There is no Tuck Shop this year so we advise that you bring your own refreshments - at least a bottle of water.
At 4.30pm we have a Parents' Meeting which we hope the Gang will also stay for. We'll be talking about what we've been doing since our last Show in 2019 and about our plans for this Show. We'll also be happy to answer any questions that parents may have.

LAST CHANCE & 1st Rehearsal
If you were in the Show in 2019 and have not yet told Scott whether or not you are returning, please do so now.
It is amazing how many members think that if they're not returning they don't have to say. Then there are those that are returning and think they only have to turn up on the 19th with no advance notice. If you think about these two contradictory points you will see how essential it is that you let Scott know what you are doing.
Why do I need to ? Well for a start, it is even more important that we have attendance registers this time around - indeed Trace & Protect rules mean we must register all attenders. We like the names entered on the register in alphabetical order as this saves precious seconds when signing in each week. Those few seconds mount up over the numbers in the Gang and can become 5 extra minutes each week. They also cause queues and we want to keep them to a minimum.
Our first rehearsal is fast approaching. We'll start with handing out the scripts followed by a briefing session of how we will function over the coming months. Inevitably there will be some new ways of working because of the limitations imposed on us by Covid. Then we'll have a go at learning words and music for Moonstone which is item 12 in the programme. After this we will finish with a Parents' Meeting from 4.30pm. I hope your parent(s) will come along and you are welcome to stay as well.
Please follow the one way system when you arrive at the Guide Hut (Glebe Avenue, FK8 2HZ). You will enter by the fire escape and exit through the main door. The building will have been sanitised with a hazer before you arrive.

Junior Gang
There will be an Experience Day for potential Junior Gang members in Queen Street Scout Hall from 4pm - 5.30pm on Saturday 20 November. The first rehearsal will be on Saturday 4 December at the same time and place.
This is open to all Cubs & Brownies and Rainbows & Beavers who will have become Cubs or Brownies by 13 March 2022.

Gang Invitations
Invitations are being posted to the 2019 Gang on Wednesday 11 August inviting you to re-join the Gang for the 2022 Show. If you do not receive your invitation by Monday 16th get in touch with Scott.
The programme has been drawn up by the Commissioning Group which included two young Gang members. Despite the delay we think you will enjoy the varied programme items which include a visit to Paris and a look at superheroes. You might also find that you've joined the navy.
Don't forget to let Scott know whether or not you will be returning. It greatly helps with preparing registers and allocating new Gang numbers for 2022.
Come and join us for our 25th anniversary production and bring some of your Guiding/Scouting friends with you. They should first of all attend the Experience Days on 5 & 12 September in Queen Street Scout Hall.
Please note that face masks are currently compulsory at our Rehearsals and Experience Days for all those aged 12 and over

2022 Stirling Gang Show
Plans are well advanced for our next Gang Show which will be our 25th Anniversary production.
Experience Days will be held on Sundays 5th and 12th September from 2pm - 3.30pm in Queen Street Scout Hall. Come along and experience a little of what it's like to be in a Gang Show. Enjoy yourself and make new friends. You do not have to join but we hope you will.
Rehearsals start on Sunday 19 September. This year most will be held in Stirling Guide Hut in Glebe Avenue, near the Albert Hall.
We hope to see all the 2019 Gang returning and many more new members who will contribute to making this a Show to remember for many years to come.
