We hope to be able to publish some news on the next Gang Show in spring 2014.  The Show will be held during the week beginning 8 March 2015.   It will be our 21st Stirling Gang Show and we hope to make it especially memorable.  Watch this space and our Facebook page

Saturday 28 September

Yes, please note that it is Saturday NOT Sunday this week for everyone.  This will allow you a rest on Sunday before the week in the theatre.

All cast from both main and junior Gangs should be at Beechwood Scout Hall before 2pm ready to start.  Cubs & Brownies will finish at 3.30pm and the rest of the Gang at 6pm.  No costumes are needed.  If you are missing anything be sure and speak to Rosemary on Saturday.

All the info for next week in the theatre should be covered by the blue sheet which everyone should have.

Week Commencing Monday 16 September

All as programmed

Tues 17 Sept :  7 - 9pm   We will run the whole first half for the first time (big & small numbers)   
                          7 - 8pm will also have a rehearsal of Night Hike

Thurs 19 Sept :  7 - 9pm   Revision of The Opening, Puppet Theatre& Flashdance.  If you are in any of these numbers then you are needed for the full rehearsal time.  You should bring and wear your costumes for these numbers. 

Sun 22 Sept :  1.45 - 2.30pm  Finale singing  (note earlier start time)
                        2.30 - 4pm   Run 1st half
                        4.15 - 6.15pm   Run 2nd half

Week commencing Monday 9 September

Tuesday 10 September  (Guide Hut)
Please note that only the Dancers who talked with Heather on Sunday are needed for Flashdance from 7pm - 9pm.  No one else should come along !
Also being rehearsed are Sisters from 7pm - 8pm and Night Hike from 8pm - 9pm

Thursday 12 September (Guide Hut)
7 - 8pm Setting of Flashdance  (All Cast)
8 - 9pm Singing for Finale

Sunday 15 September

2 - 3pm Final setting of Flashdance  and 4 - 5pm Robin Hood
You have done so well with Flashdance that we are able to finish it early today.  This means that we will now rehearse ALL the other production numbers between 3pm and 5pm.
There will be a short break at around 5.10pm for those who might wish to bring sandwiches and then Angels or Demons? rehearses from 5.30 - 7pm

Angels or Demons?

Although we finished this on Thursday, we need to spend a bit more time on it.  The cast for this number should set aside time on Sunday 15 September.  We will rehearse it from 5.30pm - 7pm.  There will be a break just after 5pm when you can eat sandwiches, etc.

Week beginning 2 September

Tuesday's rehearsal is in the SCOUT HALL as follows

7.40 - 8.20  Double Trouble    and   Great Game
8.20 - 9   Night Hike    and   Cool Party

Thursday's rehearsal is in the Guide Hut
7pm - 9pm   Angels or Demons.   This is the final setting rehearsal and the last time the producer will be present so don't miss it.

Sunday's rehearsal is the same as listed in the schedule with the addition of Cool Party from 1.30 - 2.30pm.

Sunday is the last day for handing in DVD orders.

Rehearsal Schedule Changes + Costumes + Microphones

If you didn't make the last Costume Call then don't miss your final chance on Wednesday 28th, 5pm - 8pm at the Scout Hall.  It will last around an hour.  Don't forget to bring the costumes that you are providing.

All those who will be using radio microphones should come along to the workshop on Saturday from 2pm - 3.15pm in the Scout Hall.

On Sunday there are some changes.   From 5.15 until 6.30 we will be revising America and not Wooden Heart.  Cast involved with Cool Party will still do that number and miss America.

Also Puppet Theatre will be rehearsed on Sunday from 4pm - 5.15pm

Welcome Back

Hope everyone has had a good holiday - plenty of rest with a bit of words revision.  Rehearsals resume on Sunday 18 August so don't forget to have wee practice, especially the dance moves, before you come along.

Brownies and Cubs will be there from 2pm until 3.45pm as we insert them into the Puppet Theatre number.

Check your BLUE rehearsal schedule for the other items being rehearsed and don't forget that there are rehearsals on Tues 20 and Thurs 22 Aug.

There are only 6 weeks of rehearsal left so with a bit of hard work you'll soon be experiencing the excitement of moving into the theatre with your hard work being enjoyed by our audiences.

Sunday 23 June

This is the last rehearsal until we restart on Sunday 18 August.  It will finish half an hour earlier than scheduled at 6pm.

The cast should try to be present all afternoon as the timings of the items are not expected to run to the published schedule.

Tues 18 June

The rehearsal for Night Hike is now an hour earlier starting at 7pm and finishing at 8pm.

Raining + Great Game

Don't forget that it is the final Setting rehearsal for Raining on Sunday 16 June.   There is also an additional rehearsal for The Great Game on Sunday 23 June from 5.15 to 6.15pm.   The earlier rehearsal that day will still take place

PHOTOCALL

The Photocall for the cast pictures to go into the programme is in Sunday 2nd June.  You must be there for 1.30pm in full uniform.   You can change afterwards if you want before the normal rehearsal starts at 2pm

Sunday 26 May

Remember that rehearsals finish at 5pm today unless you are in The Great Game or Robin Hood.  These items will now be rehearsed at the Church Hall and not at the Scout Hall.  Check your schedule for details

Don't forget that the rehearsal on Sunday 19th May finishes at 6pm.

Tickets

Our Box Office will soon be open.  Sunday 19 May sees the start of our weekly sessions from 1.45pm until soon after 2pm, just before rehearsals start.   We will also visit Brownie and Cub rehearsals twice on dates that are being circulated to Brownies and Cubs.

This is your opportunity to buy good seats for this year's best Show in the MacRobert and at our special prices.

The MacRobert Box Office will be selling our tickets from Monday 20 May at the full price

Sunday 19 May

This Sunday's rehearsal went so well that we have finished setting the number.  Well done to the whole Gang!  On Sunday 19th we will re-run the number but we will count Sunday 12th as the final setting (so ignore the date in the schedule) since there is only the second speciality dance to finish.

Sunday 12 May

Don't forget that Sunday's rehearsal finishes at 5.30pm unless you are "If I Were Not Upon the Stage" which finishes at 6.30pm.  There are no final setting rehearsals this week.

Brownies & Cubs

Audition workshops for the Junior Gang take place in Queen Street Scout Hall on Saturday 11 May from 12.30pm until 2pm.  You do not need to wear uniform

Neckies

Red Gang Show neckies are now on sale from the Registrar at Sunday rehearsals only.   They cost £5 each with a further £1 for a woggle.  You will need them for the Finale and it also looks better if you're wearing them in the cast photo which will be taken on Sunday 2nd June

Final Setting

Please remember that attendance at rehearsals is very important.   When a large item has a final "setting" rehearsal it is important that you are present.  A final setting of any item means that we will not revisit the setting of that particular item.  The final setting is marked in bold and italics in your rehearsal schedule.

If you are not present at a final "setting" rehearsal for an individual programme item then you will not be in that item even if you have attended earlier rehearsals of it.  It is very difficult for a producer (and for the cast) to devise and rehearse an item with people missing and they must have at least one opportunity when everyone is present who will be performing in the item.

Please note that Sunday 5 May is the final "setting" rehearsal for America.

Casting Results

A big thank you to everyone who came along to audition and to those who helped to run them.  We hope to be able to send the results to all cast who have registered their email by early next week.  Paper copies will be available at the start of the next rehearsal on Sunday 14 April.

If you are not able to manage the part(s) or miss too many rehearsals then you may have to be replaced.  It is up to you to try hard and impress your producer(s).   If you do not wish to proceed with the part(s) you have been given then please let Scott know as soon as possible so that someone else may be offered the part(s).

You should cross-reference any parts you have been given with the rehearsal schedule to see when you need to be present for rehearsals.   This is your responsibility.

Casting

This Sunday we having casting auditions for parts.  If you want to audition for specific parts please come along at the following times :

Singing parts, including solos and small groups
2pm - 3.15pm

Sketches :
2pm - 3.15pm OR 3.15pm - 4.30pm

Dancing :
5pm - 6.30pm

We'll try to let you have the results by email during the Easter holidays and we will also have a printed sheet available for you at the next rehearsal on 14 April

Sun 17 March

Don't forget the following

New members of the Gang should sign in by 2pm (Doors open at 1.45pm)

Previous Gang members should have signed in and be ready to start at 3pm.

The Drama Workshop for those who have not tried it before will be at 5pm in the Queen Street Scout Hall and finish at 6.30pm.  Please remember this when planning your transport home.   If you are not going to the workshop then you will finish at the church hall at 5pm.

Don't Forget !

Would all members of the 2012 Gang please remember to return your membership form by 1st March at the latest if you going to be part of the 2013 Gang. 

If you are not going to rejoin please let us know so that we are certain that your bad memory is not the reason that you haven't returned the form.

A Happy New Year

Letters will be sent out to all 2012 Gang Members during the first week of February.   You will need to reply before 1st March.  Even if you will not be returning please let us know as we can then be sure that you received the invitation.  Auditions for new Gang Members are on 9th/10th March

Rehearsals will start on Sunday 17 March with casting taking place on Sunday 24 March.  There will then be a break for the Easter holidays before we resume on Sunday 14 April.
